Strange moment: Residents of Bubutu Trading Center Cell, Bubutu Ward, Bubutu Town Council in Namisindwa District are still in shock after a man with military attires was found hiding in a Pastor’s Ceiling today morning Friday, 14th June, 2024.
Emma Wabweni was discovered with a UPDF Jacket and T-shirt hiding at the ceiling of Pastor Mwesikwa Wasike’s house by area residents who had become suspicious of his stay at the Pastor’s home.
Pastor Mwesikwa Wasike of Akuna Dini Born Again Church together with his follower, Wabweni were subsequently arrested and handed over to Bubutu Police Post.
According to Moses Mutambo, the LC3 chairperson of Bubutu town council, they got Wabweni hiding in the ceiling of Wasike’s house with military attires.
He adds that they got him with UPDF Jacket and T-shirt which raised lots of questions about the security of the area.
Imran Muluga, the Namisindwa Resident District Commissioner confirmed the incident saying the two are currently being detained at Bubutu police post.
He adds that they have recovered the attires which they were having saying they will be taken to court martial to explain where they got the items.
There is rife cattle theft and insecurity in Namisindwa district where criminals use guns and military attires to pretend as if they are military persons to terrorize the locals.
