Amero was among Members of Parliament invited to attend the Uganda cooperative alliance consultative meeting with farmers in the Elgon region on the restoration of cooperative banks.
Amero says she has served for fifteen years and now wants new blood to pick up from there.
She says that she wants to be involved in money generating activities like farming, business among others rather than growing old in politics like other politicians who don’t want to leave power.
Amero urged other politicians to borrow a leaf from her by retiring and giving opportunities to young people but not taking politics as a job.
Amero joined Parliament as Women Representative of Amuria district in 2011 and this is her third term of office as Member of Parliament
