According to Kasuku, Kenzo has been looking for a TV station to buy ever since the government gave his Federation billions of shillings. The rumor goes ahead to say that the Big Talent boss approached struggling Nyce TV and proposed a buy-off.
They however refused and informed him that they had no intention of selling. It was here that the BET Award winner approached Baba TV and presented his proposal.
Baba TV also rejected the idea saying that they can only give him shares and get him on board like a minority shareholder.
Apparently, the singer’s idea to buy a TV station is to get a platform that will be playing strictly Ugandan music. This would avail a cheaper platform for even upcoming musicians to get airplay.
Taking to their Facebook page, Baba TV said that this rumor is a hundred percent fake. This is because Busoga Kingdom owns the station. They, therefore, have no tie to the Stamina singer nor do they have any intentions to sell.
“Attention all! Rumors swirling about Eddy Kenzo buying Baba TV Uganda are FALSE! Let’s set the record straight: Baba TV is a kingdom-owned TV, and we have NO ties with Kenzo or any intention to sell. Spread the word and stay tuned for authentic updates,” the statement from the TV station read.
Well, it’s not clear where Kasuku got this information from. One thing that is clear however is that the Federation recently received billions of shillings from the government.
