DSTV technician, Jimmy Ariko.
It is alleged that MP ematia John and a lady called Eyotaru Faith went to swim at Dreamland Hotel where Ariko had also gone to fix technical technical challenges on DSTV of the hotel.
When Ariko Jimmy saw the Hon MP and the lady coming out of the vehicle together, he confronted them, and the lady upon seeing Jimmy, entered back in the vehicle and asked the driver to drive her away.
A scuffle then ensued between the two men over the lady as both were claiming to be having a relationship with her.
They were however separated by the staffs at the hotel.
By the time Arua District Ppolice Commander and the team of CIDs arrived at Dreamland hotel, they found when both men had gone to register their complains at Arua City Central Division, from where they were directed to go and report at Arua District police headquarters at Odumi in Vurra.
Jimmy Arikk, a 34 years old Itesot residing at Nsambya cell, Arua City Central Division accordingly registered a case of Assault on him by the MP, an assault which is reported to have occurred on 31st March 2024 on Easter Day at around 3:00 pm at Dreamland Hotel in Kuluva.

Statements were recorded from both parties and put in the file. While at Arua District police headquarters, District Ppolice Commander decided to have around table meeting with the conflicting parties to establish some facts in order to harmonize the matter.
Findings from the meeting indicate that the lady in question, one Eyotaru Faith, 25 years old, a relationship officer at Victoria University Kampala, had a long time love relationship with one Ariko Jimmy the technician with DSTV ever since the lady was in senior three (S.3).
She allegedly separated with Jimmy last year and also left her former job at a Bank in Arua city. She then fell in love with MPLematia John who connected for her another job as Relationship Officer at Victoria University in Kampala and rented for her a house in Ntinda area.
However Hon Lematia John claims that this lady is now his wife since he is the one renting for her and has bought land to construct her house.
On the other hand, Jimmy claims that they are still in touch with the same lady and that on Saturday 30th March 2024 she allegedly visited Jimmy at his home and they spent some time together, before moving out to Dreamland hotel with Hon Lematia John the next day on Easter Sunday.
At the end of the harmonization meeting however, both parties cooled down and decided not to continue with the criminal cases.
However, the lady in question, one Eyotaru Faith told the police officers that her love relationship with Jimmy ended and now she is in love with the Honorable MP and decided to leave the Police station with him in his car, meanwhile one Ariko Jimmy the technician left the station to go away with his brother.
Police case files have remained open pending any eventualities over the matter.
According to Jimmy Ariko, he does not want any scuffle with the MP as he demands for the legislator to leave his girlfrIend.
Ariko claims that MP Lematia is a wedded husband whom he respects, adding that he should behave like a diplomat of Uganda.
When MP John Lematia was contacted over the matter, it got when he was in compnay of clergy, a reason he declined to comment on the matter.
