Nkooko, Bugangaizi East, Kakumiro: The Bugangaizi East Legislator Hon. Aisa Agaba Black encouraged sports diehards in her area to offer a helping hand to explore young people with talents but confined in situations that do not allow them to come out. She said this after drawing inspiration from the display the two teams (Nkondo and Nkooko) showcased before her during Christmas Nkooko Daily Market Tournament Finals.
At a highly attended football finals, Hon. Aisa committed to offer support of all kinds in regards to developing the area through sports and games. “I am excited that you people have embraced games and sports as one of the tool for development not and I committee to always be available whenever called upon to give a hand. In addition, I will make sure that we introduce other games here to facilitate every person in the area.” She remarked.
“I want with great pleasure laud the sponsors of this tournament for having thought wise and come up with this rich idea, this has kept our youths together and will continue facilitating that. I want to see such games produce some people who will in future represent us at national level. We want to see someone from Nkooko Sub County representing us on the national scene.” She added.
On invitation of area Councilor Nkooko Sub County to the Kakumiro District Council, Abaho Robert to grace the function, Hon. Aisha contributed UGX.1,200,000 for the winner, UGX750,000 for the second runner, UGX.500,000 for the third runners up and the fourth was given UGX.350,000.
She went ahead and donated a full kit of jersey to Nkooko Young Football Club in addition to yet another kit that was given to them some time back and high class football. She did the same to the netball team (Women), these got a full kit of jersey and a netball.
Abaho Robert, the area councilor heaped praises to Hon. Aisa for always fulfilling her promises to her people whenever he calls her for any cause. He expressed gratitude for Aisha’s positive attitude towards sports and the development of her area, Bugangaizi East Constituency.
Sebanoba Ronald is the sponsor of the tournament, though he was unable to witness the event.
