In a heartfelt celebration of dedication and unwavering commitment, Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) hosted an unforgettable end-of-year party on the 20th/12/2023 at UBC gardens. The event was a poignant tribute to the longstanding contributions of their veteran staff members, and outstanding employees recognizing their pivotal roles in shaping the nation’s broadcasting landscape. In attendance was the minister of Information, communications Technology and National Guidance Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, UBC board members and a few members of parliament.
Amidst a jubilant ambiance embellished with festivity, the evening commenced with a poignant speech by UBC’s Director General, Mr. Winston Agaba David expressing gratitude for the invaluable service rendered by the employees “Our success is intricately woven with the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of these individuals,” remarked Mr. Agaba
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of personalized gifts and commendations to the seasoned staff members, acknowledging their remarkable tenure and pivotal roles in UBC’s journey. Each awardee received tokens of appreciation, symbolizing the organization’s deep respect and gratitude for their years of dedication
Miss, Sharita Ann, a veteran employee with over a decade of service, expressed her heartfelt emotions, saying, “This recognition means the world to us. It’s not just about the gifts, but the acknowledgment of our contributions to the national broadcaster that makes this evening truly special”
The event also showcased performances by UBC’s talented staff members, celebrating not only the achievements of the veterans but also the vibrant spirit of the entire broadcasting family.
