NEWS- There was panic among residents of Kiyaga Cell in Paacwa Town Council Kagadi district after recovering a bomb like object in their area.
The bomb like object was recovered on Sunday afternoon on the roof top of the latrine near Sun City bar that is located in Kiyaga trading center Paacwa Town council along Kagadi-Hoima High way.

The OC Paacwa Police post IP Kasaija Ssebandeke has confirmed that the object is a real bomb which can cause heavy damages if exploded.
He said the explosive object was recovered from the bush by some residents who had gone to collect reeds for construction. The fact that they had no idea about it, they carried it and dumped it in the trading center.
IP Kasaija adds that investigations have started to identify the people who had dumped the bomb into the bush.
He has however warned the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects cited within their locality.
By press time police had cordoned off the scene waiting for the bomb squad to handle the explosive object.
The development comes hours after the Police in Kampala Metropolitan area on Saturday December 2, 2023, responded to two separate incidents in the Kampala District that raised concerns within the community.
According to Luke Owoyesire the Kampala Metropolitan area Police deputy spokesman, in Mayor Zone, Kabalagala Parish, Makindye Division, at about 9 pm, a business premise specializing in frying chips experienced an incident that led to a blast. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
Owoyesire adds that Nakasagga Joy, the owner of the business, aged 23, sustained minor injuries but is currently in stable condition.
“Our expert teams are actively investigating the cause of the blast, and updates on the findings will be communicated as soon as possible” he said.
Simultaneously, in Nabweru, the Police bomb squad and forensic services responded to a blast heard around 9 pm in one of the unoccupied rentals. But thankfully, no injuries or fatalities were reported.
“Our team is diligently working to determine the cause of the blast, and further information regarding the next steps will be provided once investigations are complete” added Owoyesire.
Police adds that while these incidents are under investigation, they urge the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their communities.
