MOH HQRS, KAMPALA: In a turn of events today, 116 Ministry of Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Ambulances have been launched by Uganda’s Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja as a move to effectively respond to emergencies in areas where they have been commissioned.
Of the 53 Ambulances, one has been given to Bugangaizi East Constituency represented by Hon. Agaba Aisa Black after tirelessly fighting for this manifestation.
Hon. Aisa says, she wrote to the Ministry of Health officials and Prime Minister clearly stating the huddles in which her people in Bugangaizi East go through to handle emergencies which at times results into loss of lives and it was upon this factor that the Ministry considered her area for an ambulance which has been witnessed today.
“As the MP of Bugangaizi East, I would like to thank God, President Museveni, His NRM Government and Uganda’s Prime Minister for launching our Ambulances. My constituency has no Health Centre 1V and my people have been suffering severely inform of referrals” MP Aisa.
She asked nurses at Kisiita Health Centre III to help patients, they should not ask for a lot of money for patients to access Ambulance services if they should it instead should be a boost to their works and to drivers to use the ambulance specifically for medical related issues.
She revealed that Ministry of Health committed that; it will provide a FUEL CARD worth UGX1Million per months to supplement Ambulance Activities.
