PARLIAMENT: Courageously and boldly Roland Ndyomugyenyi Bish, the Rukiga county member of the Parliament has proposed life imprisonment to convicts of acts of homosexuality in Uganda.
Ndyomugyenyi says that together with other MPs, he is working to have changes made to the proposed 10-year sentence in the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, now before parliament.
He said that 10 years sentence is nothing to someone found guilty of the act that is against the laws of Uganda and threatens the sanctity of the family, safety of children and the continuation of humanity through reproduction. Such offenders, he says should be imprisoned for life.
Hon Ndyomugyenyi made the revelation on Sunday during a thanksgiving event for Kamwezi Primary school in Kamwezi Sub County, Rukiga district.
The MP had earlier warned parents to keep a keen eye on their young ones as the same acts have already been   spread to some schools.
