However, Arinaitwe today evening while investigating the claims at the school has been arrested and is currently detained at Kings College Buddo Police.

Sources that asked not to be named told with website that the Journalist has for the past one week been trying to follow up on such claims.

“He chose to work silently and has been getting information from a number of sources from the school, the teachers and students and had gone back today to carry on the investigation.” The source said.

The Anglican Church is also investigating similar Homosexuality claims in the school.

The country has for the last two months been engaged in the fierce anti homosexuality campaign that saw the Church of Uganda part ways with the Anglican Church in England.

The impasse was a result of the blessing of same sex marriage in the Church of England, leaving many African countries angered.

The President, Yoweri Museveni, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament have also engaged in the fight, condemning such marriages.

Earlier this week, the President of the United States, Joe Biden also condemned same sex marriages saying it is abnormal and a threat to human perfection.

A source with the Uganda Police Force confirmed the arrest. The source however said, the concerned parties are working around the clock to ensure that the Journalist is immediately released from custody.

When asked for a comment, the New Vision remained tight lipped on the matter.
