Lubaga, Kampala: On Thursday, Uganda’s Vice President H.E (Rtd) Maj. Jessica Rose Epel Alupo was installed as Chancellor of St. Lawrence University. H.E Alupo replaces former Vice President and Speaker of Parliament H.E Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi.
She immediately assummed her duties as Chancellor by conffering degrees, awarding of diplomas and issuance of certificates to 479 students at St. Lawrence University’s 13th Graduation, 2023.
This took place at University’s Headquarters in Lubaga, Kampala-Uganda.
H.E Alupo vowed to steer the development of the University to a desirable level.
St. Lawrence University is one of the memorial institutions that were established by Late Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi.
After executing her duties, H.E Alupo tweeted,

At the 13th graduation ceremony of St.Lawrence University today,I was honoured to be installed as 3rd Chancellor,walking in the footsteps of H.E Sekandi our former Vice President. Later, I presided over the graduation of 479 young men and women. Congratulations to you all!
