Kampala, Uganda: News reaching editor’s desk indicate that marking of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations ended before Christmas according to Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
UNEB earlier said that the official results of the 2022 Exams will be announced at appropriate dates that will be communicated in due course.
It should be remembered that there are so many quality assurance processes including data entry, adjudication and grading that are carried out before a general overview of the performance of the candidates is publicized.
This follows releases of Primary Leaving Examination (P.L.E) where a total of 811,810 students sat for the examinations out of the 832,654 who were registered.
Of these, 114,617 passed in first grade, 357,799 passed in grade two,146,583 in third grade, and 95,702 passed in fourth grade. According to UNEB statistics, 97,109 candidates were not graded.
