Greater Masaka: Taking to his twitter account yeaterday, Nationa Unity Platform’ Principal, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu wrote “I’ve attended the burial ceremony of Rev. Fr. Bro. Anatoli Wasswa in Greater Masaka district of Kyotera — Masaka who recently died aged 97……
……I paid tribute to his remaining true to and honouring our African tradition — despite being a religious leader — which many Africans mistake for witchcraft”.
“I especially thanked the Catholic Church for always standing on the side of the truth. Through clerics like the late Fr. Anatoli, the Catholic Church has distinguished itself as the vanguard of those suffering oppression. May Rev. Fr. Bro. Anatoli’s soul rest in peace”. Bobi Wine added.
This comes a few days after inside sources indicated that Mr. Kyagulanyi is on the verge of dropping Hon. Mathius Mpuuga Nsamba on account of now being politically close to the speaker of parliament Anita Among.
Many NUP MPs have been quietly complaining to Kyagulanyi that there is an increasing gap between them and the pompous Mpuuga.
Sources also say Mpuuga’s closeness to Katikkiro Mayiga is also another cause for concern among the NUP hierarchy.
There are fears that the two could one day topple the principal.
The complaining MPs have reportedly proposed Ssenyonyi or Nambeshe Jb as the suitable candidates for the LOP post.
