Kampala, Uganda: House of Prayer Ministries International Lead Pastor Aloysius Bugingo’s Wakaliga-based Salt TV- a subsidiary of Salt Media Group is likely to lose Gotv channel tomorrow 5th/January 2023 according to allegations.
A tweet by renown Event Manager Balaam Barugahara aka Ssabavulu Balaam on 21st/ December, 2022 indicated that Ps. Bugingo’s owned Salt TV was to be removed from GOtv for supporting Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
In his tweet at 13:14 PM on 21/12/2022, I quote, “Our friend & Pastor Bugingo to be removed off @GOtvUganda for supporting Gen. @mkainerugaba but why? @MultiChoiceGRP & @DstvUganda let’s be Fair!!!”
A source privy to this website revealed that Pastor Bugingo said that “No one knows but the message is allover GOtv decoders that we shall be terminated on 5th January 2023”
“Yes, it can as news trending on social media and political malice that Dstv boss Hassan Saleh is indulging himself in will not help him do business successfully, whoever is using him will soon dump him if he goes on to act on his decision of pulling Salt Tv of Gotv and advised him that he can’t manage the clients coming to Multichoice to claim the refund and leave all the decoders they bought on the day when Salt Tv launched”. Pastor Bugingo.
A source continued to reveal that when Salt Tv management tried to contact Multichoice, they said that the reason for their decision is because the Wakaliga-based Tv had declined in performance compared to when they gave them rights.
It should be remembered that Salt Tv got GOtv rights in the year 2019 after it had proven beyond doubt that it could pull audience which is one of the basis for Multi Choice to give out rights which they claim had declined in performance.
Notable Shows by then was Omusunsuzi and Pastor Bugingo’s Church Services that hit there by helping them guage for GOtv rights.
It is not clear to this website however, whether the allegations are inclined to political lines.
More to come.
