Mulago, Kampala-Uganda: Social Media has been awash of a video where Pastor Kakande is inviting his flock for a new year’s service, in which he is to give those in attendance, a special touch at a cost.
According to what the prophet says in the video, each member of his congregation will have to part with shs500,000 for the special touch.
“Those who want to enter the new year with a special touch. You come around on 31st, during day,” he says.
“Those who will come for the special touch will pay only 500,000,” he adds.
In the video, the infamous Pastor calls upon those that are interested to come in huge numbers.
“Come many, come all,” he notes.
Pastor Kakande has become notorious within the public, for his flashy lifestyle and huge monetary demands which are usually shouldered by members of his church.
Last month, Kakande was yet again at the center of controversy, after he openly sought a million shillings from each member of his flock in a bid to buy a new car.
Kakande is also notorious for telling his flock that his demands are not mandatory, yet by his choice of words, they usually are.
When the pastor asked his audience to contribute money for his luxury car, he said that it was not compulsory, but maintained that it was a task to be undertaken only by those that love him.
Kakande’s recent antics have been met with mixed reactions on social media, with most users, criticizing the unreasonable financial strain he is exerting onto members of his audience.
“This guy is the true meaning of scam and false preacher and no one cares, they are building a whole city for him, bought cars for him, bought his upland rice at 50k,” one Rahman complained.
However, the public outcry will not stop his flock from gathering as one tweep reportedly notes that from past experience, the church is usually full of preaching time.
