National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi, Ssetamu through his political party, has donated 10 million Ugx shillings to their efforts to return Ugandans who are under detention in Arab countries.
This has been put to the public through the National Unity Platform Twitter page. “President @HEBobiwine has donated ten million shillings to our efforts to return Ugandans who are under detention in Arab countries (10 million Ugx). We are undertaking a one-week campaign as the National Unity Platform (NUP) in order to raise money for the cause,” wrote the National Unity Platform on its page.
This happened after the Arab countries banned African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Gambia, Senegal, Benin, Congo, Rwanda, Comoros, Uganda, and many other African countries from going into any of the Arab countries on a 90 days visa application.
And on this, also every Ugandan in Arab countries that went there for work but currently not working was all collected and put in detention homes and are to be deported back to the country very soon. This has therefore forced the National Unity Platform to engage in its efforts so that all Ugandans in Arab countries that are put under detention are helped and brought back home.
