Kampala, Uganda: Kampala University “Original” which was one of the 39 exhibiting Universities welcomed Deputy Speaker’s suggestion of including Private Institutions for Research Fund saying it will bring efficiency in the Education sector.
The University participated in the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) 13th Blended Higher Education Institutions Exhibitions 2022 that will run up to Saturday at Uganda Manufacturers Association, Lugogo Show Ground in Kampala.
Mr. Julius Ssekatawa the Public Relations Officer of the University reckoned that such exhibition helps institutions of higher learning to bench-mark several things through interactions with other Universities in innovations and research.
“The only way Universities can grow is having a pool of knowledge, you learn from what your friend has and improve from what you have’. Said Mr. Ssekatawa.
He said that Universities are known for three things that are preservation of knowledge, generation of knowledge and outreach programs.
He added that whenever one makes research, is generating new knowledge which helps one have new innovations that helps to produce students that are competitive on the job market.
He revealed that most students who came at their stall were inquiring about science programs and it is on this point that Mr. Sssekatawa asked institutions to embrace technology as it is the way to go.
He informed that Kampala University has intakes in August and February and called on students to yearn for them because they have high quality courses of their dreams and are affordable.
