Faridah Nakazibwe concedes flop of her event, speaks out

Renown NTV Luganda News Anchor and Mwasuuze Mutya Morning Show host Faridah Nakazibwe has finally come out to dissolve the shame she encounter at her inaugural of “Greater Masaka Fete”.

The concert that happened over the weekend at Lugogo Cricket Oval registered a handful of turn up contrary to what was expected.

“Greater Masaka Fete” was meant to bring together all the personalities and people from all districts that constitute the area and with evidence of highly profiled personalities, everyone thought it would boom.

Many people thought that because of Faridah’s personality on TV and social media, the crowd at the event was inevitable but guess what, people were counted on fingertips.

What was so hearting is that the event was advertised for over a month using radio, television, social media, roadside advertising and others with prominent musicians expected to grace the inaugural ceremony but most of the never turned up.

Very emotional ‘bambii’, Faridah praised everyone who made it to support her saying, the start is never easy.

Taking to her twitter,

A special thank you to everyone who supported the #GreaterMasakaFete. We did our best and acknowledge that the start is never smooth. Thank you to our sponsors, service providers, artists, organizing team and attendees who believe in the initiative. I am proud of you all.

Nevertheless, another event is expected soon at Masaka Recreation Centre in Masaka.

Regarding this most analysists have attributed this to the eventful ‘Nyege Nyege Festival’ that has been taking place in Jinja’s Itanda Falls at the same time.

Others say that over confidence could also have also costed her millions.
