Ruto: I’ll call Raila to discuss how he’ll serve in the opposition

Speaking in Karen on Monday, Ruto said the talks will focus on how the Azimio leader and his team will perform their role as the opposition to ensure that his government performs its mandate diligently.

Ruto said he does not believe in handshakes and expects Azimio will work as an opposition to hold the executive accountable.

“I will also make a call to my worthy competitor, Raila Odinga. I look forward to a conversation on how they will hold us accountable,” he said.

“… and they will ensure that public resources are put to good use in an accountable manner. I don’t believe in handshake stories.”
